Ingredients of Calamari Oreganato
- Prepare 2 lb of calamari.
- Prepare 2 cup of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs.
- It's 4 tbsp of grated Italian cheese (your choice).
- You need 1/2 head of garlic.
- It's 1 tbsp of oregano.
- It's 1 of fresh parsley.
- It's 1 of olive oil.
- You need 1 of lemon.
- You need 1 of salt & pepper.
Calamari Oreganato instructions
- Make sure the calamari is cleaned washed & cut up..
- In a bowl put the breadcrumbs, grated cheese, oregano & garlic & mix well.
- Add some olive oil to the bread crumb mixture & stir until the breadcrumbs are little wet...do not soak the breadcrumbs with oil...(see pic).
- Cover a flat baking pan with aluminum foil & put a shallow pile of calamari on it & salt & pepper it & drizzle lightly with olive oil & top with a generous amount of the breadcrumb mixture..
- Bake in a 400° preheated oven for about 10 minutes or more....when breadcrumbs brown it should be ready..
- Plate & squeeze fresh lemon juice on top & garnish dish with parsley & enjoy..
